If you haven’t heard, rockstardom does not limit itself from the radittude of yogahood. In fact, YouTube star turned TV show lady, Sadie Nardini is so certain YOU too can be a rockstar yogi she is currently starring in her own TV show entitled “Rock Your Yoga” in which she teaches you how to, you guessed it, become a yoga rockstar.
We got down and dirty with some bittersweet reality in our post Teaching Yoga As Second Career: 3 Tips to Make It or Break It. This latest blog from GOOD highlights the plight of one aspiring NYC yoga teacher, echoing the problems many, probably thousands, of teachers face as they’re churned out of training and thrust into the competitive pool of potentials, clawing their way through the crowds to eagle pose on top of the heap.
We’re grateful for the debate and the discussion. And we’ve have watched how the recent growth in audience participation is changing the landscape of yoga media, if you will, (sounds sorta ick, but whatever) and the shape of the modern yoga conversation. And counterculture.
