  3. Every Hindu baby-name is actually derived from the Sanskrit, and has a specific meaning.

Google for Sanskrit or Hindu baby-names.

You will see a Hindu Sanskrit baby-name out there, that best describes your individual personality.

This then shall become your Yogic first-name.

  11. Dr R K S Rathore says:

Yoga results in bliss of a person and that is why all Sanyasin practicing yoga have their names ending up with suffex -ananda (i. e. Bliss) for example Brahamananda, Swaroopanand, Krishnanada etc. etc.
Since my first name is Ram so I will become Ramananda

  12. This chart makes no sense at all.

    Instead, google for Hindu baby-names.

You will see Hindu baby-names (in Sanskrit), along with the meanings of those names. Then, select a Yogic first-name for yourself, that best describes your personality. Now, THAT would make some sense.

For example, if you are a very calm and peaceful person, you could be Shanti (Peace in Sanskrit), and so on !

  13. Quick, I need new voter ID with my new name. Let’s see — here in PA that would make me one of the 179,000 with no state-issued ID. It will cost me a couple of hundred dollars I don’t have, and weeks of bureaocracy I can’t push. Then, alas, it’ll be election day, and I, Coriander Shakti Shine, won’t get to vote.

Light a candle for the ACLU. for more info see here http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-18563_162-57481869/pa-voter-id-law-on-trial/

    Rainbows and flowers,

  48. This Chart makes no sense. What would make sense is for you to pick a Yoga-name, based on your individual-personality, and then find the suitable Sanskrit-name that most closely highlights the particular traits of your personality.

Example : If you are very calm and level-headed, you would be Prashant (male) or Shanti ( Female ).

If you are very friendly, you would be Sneha (female). If you are very popular, you would be Priya (female). If you think that you are truly enchanting, you would be Mohan (male) or Mohini (female). You get the idea.
