YogaDork Giveaway! ‘Yoga Bitch’ by Suzanne Morrison

Yoga Bitch could be viewed as an oxymoron. Or, it could be viewed as that insufferable sweat-wicking wench who keeps stealing your favorite spot in class. She knows you like to be by the window and the hand-carved Ganesh. Remover of obstacles my…

But we can also see it as this empowering superheroine character, standing strong for her beliefs, her practice and her favorite mat space, suckers! In her book, yes, Yoga Bitch,  Suzanne Morrison details her yoga journey and takes on one or more of these roles, but you’ll have to read it to find out.

We can help you with that. Because we’re giving away 5 copies of the book! Need a primer? Check out the YD review.

WIN: A copy of the latest gotta-read buzz book Yoga Bitch: One Woman’s Quest to Conquer Skepticism, Cynicism, and Cigarettes on the Path to Enlightenment by a yogi, bitchy, funny lady Suzanne Morrison. Courtesy of Random House.

TO ENTER: Are you a Yoga Bitch and proud? Tell us what that means to you in the comments. Or tell us, in this moment in your practice, what your word would be, as in: Yoga ______. (for example, we’d go with Dork, naturally. Or, you know, the ever coveted Yoga Unicorn).

Giveaway open until Weds the 31st. FIVE winners will be chosen at random and announced soon after. Good luck!

If I can’t afford yoga and don’t have the time to get to classes, whether my yoga teachers like it or not, I do it class length at home (and advance in it and plateau in it like everybody else) …

It’ had been a tough three years trying to find a studio that is “home-practitioner-friendly” (hint: Community classes are ok, affordably priced a little better; but for the serious stuff, I’ve had to go a little old-school …)
