Every year the Iyengar Yoga Institute of New York puts on a yogathon. A yoga what? It’s not exactly what you think. And it’s probably not exactly what you think of when you think of Iyengar Yoga. This Yogathon is more of a benefit event to help raise money for the Institute’s regular programs and free offerings such as classes for people who are HIV+, veterans, and breast cancer survivors. Yes, there will also be some fun ‘thon-y performance and demonstration aspects to the live event as well as a raffle and Children’s class, this Sunday June 7th.

Join us in celebrating the Iyengar Yoga Association of Greater New York by supporting the Yogathon!
Our annual Benefit Event, the Yogathon is a live extravaganza featuring Association Teachers performing dynamic yoga demonstrations for your pledges. The day includes a slate of programs including a Children’s Class and the Spirit of Mary Dunn Class which honors the remarkable life and legacy of Senior Teacher Mary Dunn who passed away in 2008.
All donations are fully tax-deductible, and all proceeds go to support our mission and programs.
