If you’re feeling down, this video will make your day. Kelli Love is a full-time staff member at Girls Prep Bronx Elementary in NYC where she is the in-house yoga and mindfulness teacher. Every student at Girls Prep takes part in the yoga and mindfulness curriculum which is a school-wide offering. This is a rare and special program. Love created this short film, “Aliza and the Mind Jar,” to tell the story of the pioneering yoga and mindfulness program and to share how it has impacted not just the girls at school, but their families at home.
Take a few minutes out of your day to meet 6-year-old Aliza and her mom Zarida. And be sure to pass it on.
P.S. If you’re interested in the awesome “mind jar” the girls use, we have a how-to here.
