Arabesque Yoga, a program bringing free yoga to inner city youth in Denver and Boulder, CO, needs our help. We first heard about Arabesque Yoga through a recent giveaway where entrants were asked to share an organization or charity they donate to, or would like to donate to, whether financially or through their time and efforts. A winner was chosen at random, and we were so happy to learn that their organization of choice was one making a big difference for kids on a local level.
As part of the giveaway we pledged to give $100 to the winner’s suggested charity or org. and we were delighted to learn that our contribution to Arabesque Yoga will go towards funding a free day of yoga for kids in the Denver and Boulder area.
We also learned that AY are in the final days of a crowdfunding campaign that will help them in their continued mission to bring yoga to over 8 public schools with 1,200 yoga classes reaching over 25,000 kids this school year. Arabesque has teamed up with Boulder Yoga Project to help get them off the ground, and they are currently working to obtain their own 501c3 non-profit status. Their program has already seen super positive results and they’re growing rapidly which is why support from the community is so important and needed right now.
We know how hard it is to manage growth and keep the momentum going, so we wanted to share this great organization out to the virtual YD family. Check out the official Arabesque Yoga Indiegogo campaign video below, and find their campaign page here for more info. They only have a couple of days left (campaign ends January 9th) so if you were looking for an organization to donate to this year, perhaps Arabesque Yoga is the one. We know we’re proud to be a supporter of bringing yoga to more kids in the new year.
