And now everything you see on Instagram is yoga! Case in point: here are the adorbs newlywed Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo enjoying some newlywed shenanigans or whatever the kids do these days. Though no yoga is mentioned by photo poster Prinsloo who shared the pic on her Instagram, US Weekly picked it up with the headline, “Adam Levine, Wife Behati Prinsloo Do Strange Yoga Position: Cute Picture.” Another headline exclaims, “Adam Levine & Behati Prinsloo Do Some Kinky Kitchen Yoga!”
And now everyone is calling it yoga.
Because everything on Instagram is now yoga.
(Though my favorite – and a more accurate headline via ET – is: “What Are Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo Doing In This Pic?”)
True, there are lots of celebrities posting yoga pictures all over Instagram, and Adam Levine does enjoy himself some mat time (with and without yoga pants, apparently), and that does look like the beginnings of a partner puppy-dog-meets-superman-pose…hmmmmmm…Nope. Everyone can relax. Not every acrobatic stunt captured with a smartphone and posted to social media has to be yoga.
Prinsloo’s caption: “Stuff that happens after sunset.” Let’s leave it at that. Cute pic, though, you pretty flying lovebirds.

Let’s review: Yoga is ceasing the movements of the mindstuff. Adam Levine is getting some hand action with a woman on his back. You decide.
That magazine thinks that things like that – yoga or not – happen only to the young, beautiful, rich and famous, anyway.
Whoever thinks this is yoga has a lot to learn about society and why the media fosters stereotypes to get page hits, advertising dollars and buys, let alone yoga.
