The day before Valentine’s, your favorite British mat-toting healthy lifestyle crusader Kate Beckinsale hosted a yoga fundraiser to benefit the new yoga program at the Margie Petersen Breast Center at Saint John’s Health Center in LA. To lend a hand and participate in the yoga sesh was none other than pop star silk-dangler Pink. Apparently her high-flying skills are not only drawn from a Cirque du Soleil routine, but a regular yoga practice as well.

The yoga event was held in the backyard of one of the center’s trustees and was led by the affable Mandy Ingber, our favorite 80s Teen Witch actress who who topped that by becoming successful teaching yoga to celebs (she’s Jennifer Aniston’s go-to yoga teacher).

The new Yoga Program is part of an overall wellness plan to treat patients in a holistic way at the High-Risk Clinic at the Margie Petersen Breast Center at St. John’s.

“In addition, yoga successfully reduces stress, which has been linked to increased risks of breast cancer,” Maggie DiNome, MD, Director of the clinic told the Santa Monica Mirror. “Because of the many demonstrated benefits of yoga, we want to be able to offer classes free of charge to our patients to help them restore health while treating disease and to reduce their risks for breast cancer.”

Though Kate is a huge yoga fan, she stuck with hosting duties at the event, but was sure to don her closest-to-yoga-attire-without-actually-wearing-yoga-pants outfit. Pink on the other hand, was all about it. We love the pics. And the mission. Brava, ladies.
