You know we can’t resist a good Yoga Pop moment. Monday night’s episode of The Voice had pop diva Christina Aguilera imparting some expert wisdom on her singing team, bringing them along to yoga class to open them up and release “stagnant energy.”
As coach, Xtina insisted her team practice yoga to help them get in touch with their bodies and breath. “Part of [it] is helping her get more centered in her body,” she said about the show’s youngest contestant, 16-year-old Jacquie Lee.
As for Lee, yoga seemed to have had a positive effect: “Yoga gives me a better understanding of where my breath is coming from,” the teen said.
And her performance? “Vulnerable.” “Emotional and gorgeous.” Even if her singing wasn’t technically improved from one yoga class, we hope it relieved some of the outrageous pressures of singing your heart out on stage in front of millions. We still wouldn’t want to do that and we’ve been to more than a handful of yoga classes. Then again, our singing skills are on par with an alley cat, so, whatever.
Not that we mean to pick sides, but…go team Christina Yoguilera!
Your yoga mat looks really thin on the hardwood floor. I use a thicker mat for yoga and also works great for P90X.
yoga is my favorite,but i like learn it more and loss weight applying yoga,i shall be happy anyone help me ,yoga is possible in after meal ,how i can get ride of hearth burning by applying y oga?
