Introducing: Our Sister Site Salted Scarletry

in Events

Salted flyer-vert II

On the heels of our super fun launch event last night and with time winding down to the final hours of our indiegogo campaign, I wanted to formally introduce you to our lady-lovin’ sister site, Salted Scarletry. She’s a beaut and I couldn’t be prouder.

As we’ve broached issues about body image and female empowerment in yoga previously here on YogaDork.com, and as founder of YD being a lady who is passionate about promoting positive conversations for, by and about women, this new site is near and dear to my heart, gestating for years and finally arriving for its nascent voyage. OH. baby.

As the name suggests, we’re adding a dash of salt (read: sass and humor) and strong, positive, insightful commentary (scarletry) to the interwebs supporting the feminine. Salted Scarletry is a site for, by and about women (and those who love them!) and will be a platform for conversations on tons of topics from news to pop culture to sex to mommyhood to inspirational stories of people reaching for and achieving their dreams. You’ll have to just check out the site to get the big idea.

Our launch event last night featured the comic stylings of the crazy talented and hilarious NYC comediennes: Susan Kaessinger, Julie Kottakis, Regina DeCicco, and fresh off her guest appearance on Conan, Aparna Nancherla. We see this event and our new site as just the beginning.

Please head over to SaltedScarletry.com to have a look for yourself. Be sure to check out our indiegogo campaign raising money to PAY our contributors as well as give 10% to a non-profit supporting early detection of breast and ovarian cancer (only a few hours left!!!), and visit us on facebook and twitter too @saltedscarletry.

From my saltie heart to yours. Much love.
