Would You Sleep on This?

in Neato, YD News

As found on stylish yogi site namastilo.com who scoped out this very orange study buddy duvet set on overstock.com.

For just $94.99 we could asana in our sleep! It is amazing and perplexing that this exists. But hey, like we always say, if you love yoga why not sleep with it?

  • This is definitely for the serious yogi. The orange is a little too bright for my tastes though, perhaps they’ll come out with different colors in the future? Something more subtle would be great. Thanks for sharing.

  • I go in for very boring bedding.

  • Perhaps this would come in handy for osmosis. “Oh darn i forgot sun salutation b. Let me (literally) sleep on it”. Lol. Yeah the color is a bit startling and a bit much but I like the thought. Haha

I’m sure Sri Tirumalai Krishnamacharya had one just like it ;ø)

nope. not a fan of mass produced yoga “lifestyle” stuff. Plus the amount of water needed to produce any thing ie. t-shirt, sheets whatever is truly astounding and the idea of wasting this very precious and fought over resource to own a “yoga sheet” does not appeal to me in the least.

  • wondering

actually not a big fan of stuff, and definently not “yoga stuff”. too much stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!

who cares what you’re a fan of or not…get over yourself.

isn’t the whole point of these blogs to blab our opinions? isn’t the title “would you sleep on this?” lighten up and enjoy all your crap or go shopping, maybe it will make you feel better.

It’s not that I “wouldn’t” sleep on it. I wouldn’t buy it, but if I visited a friend, or even a hotel for a yoga conference, I would sleep on it. It’s fun. It’s just not my style.

  • I think the design could be better, but I do surface design for a living.

Sleep should be a time of dreams and no nightmares …
The illustrations are already prop-free, so fine. (Prop-free in my dreams … lol)
Next is to remove some of the poses I don’t really like and just stick in repeatedly ones I would gravitate to, if it weren’t for yoga studio influence* ….
Then it would be perfect and might not reinforce any nightmares.

    But that’s not gonna happen.

*Viparita Karani and Ananda Balasana are not aesthetic enough …

  • Well for a yoga fan like me. I’ll definitely sleep on this. definitely! this is nice and i like the color.

  • Sanskrit matters

hmmmph. another example of bad sanskrit being perpetuated via more “yoga stuff.” If someone wishes to make a product that has sanskrit on it, wouldn’t you think they would care enough to make sure it is accurate?

  • I’m curious to find out what blog system you’re utilizing?
