Watch This Man’s Crazy Inspiring Transformation After DDP Yoga (video)

in YD News

Remember Diamond Dallas Page? He’s the one with his own pro-wrestler hand sign and DDP-branded “It Ain’t Your Mama’s” Yoga. Oh sure, we can poke fun at the utter dudeness and fist-pumping approach to Page’s manly man yoga, but we have to admit watching this homemade video of Arthur, a partially disabled and overweight Gulf War vet who could hardly walk, make an almost impossible transformation thanks to DDP’s ass-kicking yoga set our little YD hearts aflutter.

Check out this crazy inspiring video of Arthur’s transformation and courage to never give up.

And if you haven’t read Diamond Dallas Page’s personal responses to our last DDP-related post, you must.

Group hug.

One of our favorite comments from youtube about Arthur:

This guy teaches at my school. He’s so intense, I have him for Geometry. 😀 Probably by far, one of the most BA guys I have ever met and he can do man splits, which is also intense.

  • I thought this was pretty darn amazing and I am greatly impressed with Arthur’s can-do, never-give-up attitude. It has inspired many of my friends and students over the last few days!

Yes, I and like your mama and I do your mama’s yoga FUSION ….

My own soft vinyasa yoga-pilates fusion – I’d originally been inspired by Sadie Nardini’s videos and Baptiste’s EVERYTHING, plus a couple other styles …

I read in OM International, that DDP yoga is actually yoga FUSION … (with calisthenics and cardio and a little mixed martial arts …)

There is an element of spirituality even in this, but when it comes to yoga postures, yoga purity and “lineage” (dare I say, pedigree and snobbery?) can’t have much to do with this …

Except for the Integral Peaceful Weight Loss Yoga guy, yoga FUSION reaches us who have had dozens of pounds to lose … and as far as I see it, there is NOTHING wrong with this picture.

While I do not see myself doing DDP yoga, I think Diamond Dallas Page is a most generous man with his teachings, a true yogi …

This is beautiful. Yoga can be life changing and for this an it gave his freedom to walk again on his own. THIS IS my dream to help people like him an give the back their freedom so lovely! IT isn’t abut getting a six pack – it is about getting a life! How much courage did it take to get back up after falling down over and over again. Wow! DDP and yoga teachers world round-making this a better place for us all.

  • That was truly an amazing video thank you for sharing it. I spent years rehabbing a severe back injury and only the gentle calm strength of yoga and pilates could get me back to a place where I could walk around with out pain. I love reading your blog it is so well put together and inspires me to keep up my practice. Thank you for constantly finding such great content.

  • Wow, what amazing perserverance! This is incredibly inspiring – it brought a few tears to my eyes. Thanks.

    Thank you, DDP!!! XOXO

The before guy seems like way more interesting than that after dude who looks like he would be happy to take the Kool-Aid option. The first guy I would most likely help across the street – but the second? I think I would be thinking more about crossing the street.

Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this, YD.

And as for you, Arthur — let’s just say that the last time a man made me cry like a baby, I wasn’t half so pleased about it. Thank you, too.
