The Art of Yoga At the Museum – Flavorpill Hosts Yogartsy Events Around the Country

in Events, YD News

It’s when yogis get locked into the museum after hours and all the animals and exhibits come to life and wreak harmony in artifactual yoga! Just kidding. It’s yoga at some of the coolest museums in the country led by some of the name-droppingest yoga teachers of today. Hosted by none other than Flavorpill, the mass yoga masterminds with enough engine power to pull it off, the Art of Yoga Series is quite literally yoga in the middle of art, taking place in San Francisco, LA, NYC and Seattle.

Teachers to teach the groups in a expressive yet, ‘careful, don’t touch that, it’s priceless!’ manner: Les Leventhal and Giselle Mari (San Francisco), Ashley Turner and Kia Miller (Los Angeles), Ann Phyfe, Douglas Ridings and Terilyn Wyre (Seattle), and Rodney Yee, Colleen Saidman and Elena Brower (New York).

Additionally, local studio partners Yoga Tree, Exhale, YogaWorks, and ViraYoga are on board to look cool and promote yoganess.

Details:

  • Sunday, October 16th from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM at The Geffen Contemporary at MOCA in LA
  • Saturday, November 12th from 8:00 AM – 9:15 AM and from 9:45 AM – 11:00 AM at New Museum in New York City
  • Thursday, November 17th from 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM at Seattle Art Museum in Seattle

RSVP is required. Flavorpill is now accepting RSVPs for the first event in San Francisco: RSVP here. We’ll keep you posted on when RSVP is open for the other events.

Oh and lookie, there’s a contest. Flavorpill and Natural Vines® Licorice are sending one lucky person and a guest on a VIP trip to the event in New York or LA. More information on the contest can be found here.

Why do yoga in a museum? Because it’s too cold in the park and being in the midst of all that expression and creativity may help you to unlock your own. Also, you can say you did yoga in a museum.
