B.K.S. Iyengar Urges Donna Karan to Quit Rabbit Fur

in YD News

92-year-old Yoga Guru, and recent animal rights activist, B.K.S. Iyengar has sent a letter to fashion icon Donna Karan urging her to stop using fur. The letter has Iyengar asking Karan to quit using “furs, which are violently removed from the living animals, so that those animals which have the right to live, live in peace”.

“As a yoga practitioner, may I request you, on behalf of myself and my friends from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India, to take a stand against using the fur of animals that is removed by the cruelest killing methods,” Iyengar said in a letter.

Mr. Iyengar joins the growing group of activists, besides PETA, who have staged protests over Donna Karan’s rabbit fur (see above photo). –> dkbunnybutcher.com

Would he also please speak to Ingrid Newkirk, ruler of PETA, and tell her that it is not ok to kill almost all the dogs and cats that she and her staff gather up under false pretenses and take back to the office to kill?
Can he explain to her that she has a mental illness and that being a self-styled angel of death is just as bad as the fur merchants she rightly condemns? That would save a lot of lives, also.
