Happy October! Have we made it through the Mercury in retrograde madness that was September?? Oh yes, just about in the clear. Ahh.. let’s all breathe a great long luxurious sigh of relief. Feels good to give those lungs some extra work doesn’t it. Hopefully the pipes are staying clear of all the heebie jeeie germs floating around this season! May we recommend a spot of tea, some warming soup and perhaps some light meditation? If this week was as kooky for you as it was for us, take a double dose.
Inspired by @YogaChicky and the final 9 days of the Namaste Book Club Meditate on This challenge, we thought we’d give you a little encouragement to take a few minutes out and relax. Not that this is the best meditation video out there…but we kinda like the bubble idea. The accent isn’t a bad touch either. And some of you may find a giggle at the ‘holiday house’ in Canada.. brrrr.
To warm it back up give this recipe a try! a small toasty departure from the yogini martini
Hot Yoga Toddy*
- 1 oz (2 tablespoons) bourbon
- 1 tablespoon mild honey (or agave, sweetener, etc)
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup boiling-hot water
- 1 clove, or cinnamon stick
Put bourbon, sweetener, clove and lemon juice in a 6-ounce mug. Top off with hot water and stir. Sip with compassion.
*can be virginized of course….to make it yogi try with hot chai!!
Have a peaceful pleasant weekend!
This is the weirdest meditation video ever! Thanks for the warning about the Canadian vacation chalet ~ it did make me giggle, but I wasn’t as shocked as I could have been. The Hot Yoga Toddy recipe is very similar to my own, though I use Jameson’s instead of bourbon. And butter. Delish.
