UPDATE 8/5/09: All you starry-eyed yogs, we regret to inform you we’ve received word from the casting company- shooting day has passed and therefore your stellar services are no longer needed. Kindly stop bombarding the hiring agent. You’ll just have to wait for the sequel!

Hey O! It’s a great week for Yogis in the Spotlight. Lots of Eat, Pray, Love-in’ news.. if you were excited about the new movie (Julia Roberts! Javier Bardem!) or the new memoir response from Elizabeth Gibert’s Ex-y then this is may have you popping a nadi.
Get your camera-sana on! Thanks to the undeterring keen eye of YD pal @yogadeals (blog), who spotted this Craigslist Ad seeking yoga practitioners for the film version of Eat, Pray, Love!
Don’t get too excited, they only want EXTRAS. pfft. We also noticed James Franco‘s name attached, so uh, it could be worth it. (Update: Viola Davis from Doubt is named as Delia, the best friend)
AND they only want authentic practitioners who genuinely know the “anything, but melodious” Gurugita chant. A good sign? Also, children and babies, A-OK!
Will you apply? Let us know!
