Jarvis Cocker, Yoga Rocker in Paris

in Events, YD News

jarvis-cocker-paris-yogaHere’s one for the devoted Brit-Pop set. Former Pulp frontman, Jarvis Cocker, will be taking over Paris’ Galerie Chappe with his band for “public rehearsals” over the next 6 consecutive afternoons starting today. Lucky gallery-goers will be treated to a special Cocker-conducted soundtrack to the Galerie organized yoga and Pilates classes. Patrons are also encouraged to bring their own instruments for a collaborative jam session. How very kirtan of him. See the full schedule here (after the jump). [NME]

Not in Paris? Or perhaps you’ve decided against trekking across the globe this week? Watch it all on jarviscocker.net. Though the video doesn’t appear to be so exciting quite yet. See Day 1 Part 2 below.

  • Hmmm…the only music I know by Jarvis is a song called “C—s are Still Running the World”…apparently he has a more yogic side as well….
